Timezone changes are not handled properly
-
I travel a lot. Though the time on my system clock has adjusted to the new timezone, flux seems unaware of that adjustment. That is, it's now almost noon and the screen is still in night mode. Restarting the system does not seem to help.
(Running El Capitan on a 2015 MacBook. Just switched from PDT to BDT [GMT+1])

Yes this is on our list for sure.
Actually, f.lux does great with timezones, it just fails to update your location, because it is a visible prompt, and we tried too hard to avoid bugging you!

@herf Actually, it doesn't do great with timezones: it doesn't work! It would be great if it would work, it would help battle the jetlag, will it be implimented soon?

This post is almost an year old, problem is still there.
Any way we can bypass the problem, for example reset a parameter, reinstall, reboot...? -
This is fixed in the newest build (main download at https://justgetflux.com/ - 39.94). We have not pushed it as an update yet.
It has been working well for me when I travel.

@herf Many thanks for the prompt reply!
I've downloaded the new version and reinstalled, same problem.
However, I've reset the Location and now it works perfectly!! :)Question: Any reason why the location is not reset automatically?
Thanks again!

On install, it asks for location, and anytime you change the timezone it asks for location.
Sounds like reinstall during a location change is a thing we should do in the future.

Hi,
I updated to version 39.94 from 37.7 (somehow had to update manually, if I checked for an update in the app it said it was the latest version).
I noticed that my location is not displayed correctly. In past versions prior to 39.94 the Latitude an Lonitude had more digits. Now it has only 1 after the point. So the location is wrong and when I press the little arrow symbol it won't change to the right location.
Would be great if you could fix this in the next update. Thank you for this amazing app!
Oh and I am on a MacBook Pro Retina 15 '' (2014) running macOS 10.12.4. -
Yes we changed this for privacy reasons (when we show the map) - it will only affect sunrise/sunset timing by about 30 seconds.

Okay, thank you. No issue :)
