[Feature request] Different wake up times per day.
-
Hi!
I just discovered Flux today, recommended by fellow classmates @ Udacity. It's a very useful app for me, I especially like the darkmode. Here's my request:
I don't wake up, and I don't go to bed at the same time following the day of the week. I wake up and go to sleep earlier on work days, while I do later on weekend. Could you consider adding different wake up times for each day of week to don't have to change the settings all time?
Thanks!

Hi Louis -
We have a fun debate about this feature, and there is a "sleep in on weekends" checkbox that you might want to check.
Here are two possible scenarios, wondering if you fit one or the other a little better?

The "wake time" feature looks quite a lot like an alarm clock, and it bugs you that it is set earlier than you want to get up!

You actually stay up a lot later on weekends, and you want the entire f.lux schedule to shift later on weekends (this is what our "sleep late" feature mostly does).
Our debate comes down to this:
Right now, f.lux doesn't actually have any way to wake you up (nice if we could), so we say if someone wants to sleep in on weekends, we don't prevent it in any way. (So when we talk about it #1 is a UI problem and not an actual functionality problem.) Most people sleep in on weekends because they are sleep-deprived and are getting recovery sleep then. We don't interfere with that.
If on the other hand you stay up later on Friday because you know you'll be able to sleep in on Saturday, we'd like to do a good job at making that work (and we tried to do this with our menu option). But then of course, your Monday will be quite a bit harder too. :)

Hi,
I'm sorry, I misunderstood "sleep in" (my native language in french), I see that it does exactly what I wanted! My weekend starts at Friday night and end Monday morning, the usual schedule, but I think that be able to change the schedule for people who work on Saturdays, but don't on Mondays, and other complex schedules would be nice, don't you think?BTW, thank you for your support :)
