[BUG] f.lux stops working (new fullscreen mode): v42.2 on Ventura 13.4 with IINA
-
f.lux: 42.2
macOS: Ventura 13.4
tested with IINA v1.3.1(1) default fullscreen mode: f.lux is disabled when bringing IINA frontmost; followed by playback in fullscreen mode; quit IINA; result: f.lux does not re-enable, i.e. screen coloring stays in full daylight mode
(2) enable "legacy" fullscreen mode in IINA preferences: f.lux disabled when bringing IINA frontmost; followed by playback in legacy fullscreen mode; quit IINA; result: f.lux does re-enable, i.e. reverts to evening/night mode (expected behavior)
So this is a bug report. Apparently, when apps use the new macOS fullscreen mode, it messes up f.lux, so this needs a fix. Only way to fix this is to quit & relaunch f.lux, unless the app allows for legacy fullscreen mode.
I haven't tested this in VLC, but might do that tonight, because VLC also has a setting for "legacy" fullscreen mode.

I never noticed this fullscreen mode bug in Ventura, but I am running the macOS Sonoma developer beta and I notice it here. Whenever I run any video app in fullscreen f.lux is disabled after I get out of fullscreen and I have to restart the computer. This bug also occurs in Safari when I watch a fullscreen youtube video.

@Eph1997 do you have "disable for fullscreen apps" turned on or does this happen regardless?
