comparing screen filter colors.

O.K. so on a mobile device (anything with a screen) that doesn't support f.lux users are able to use a transparent filter. Yeah I know the team doesn't like them but if people are going to use them, we might as well get it right.
With a white (or any color background) when you apply a 100R filter at an intensity of half way to preserve contrast, you get pink.
If you add green to the red, you get orange. The developer is having a bit of difficulty understanding why adding green is better than basically the default setting. I want to be nice because I think it's simple so I'd like some feedback.
I suggested the dev find a program that will read back color values but that wasn't a great idea because he can already do that with a color RGB picker. Anyway he could use it to see that there is much less blue in the more green settings of his app.
The default is really bad and has already been measured by the team, so I'm not sure how to convince him. Any help would be great!

(by the way, look at the sreenshot: it's cut off at the bottom)
Yeah I didn't have enough vertical room on my mobile computer which contains the ability to connect to a cellular network (haha they do so much now!)

Oh. I don't have any mobile devices. I only have my computer that I built, so that's why I was clueless.

Have you upgraded that really old GPU yet? It's pulling about 28-30 watts at idle. I had an awful gtx 550 ti that does 12w idle, why so much difference!
Anyway it's always nice to be energy efficient, that's why I like portable devices.
We're getting way off topic though. -
@timpster we're not doing consulting work for other devs. Sorry - but please don't post things like this here.
-
O.K., I'm sure he'll figure it out.

@lorna Thank Google for me understanding that, what person said that, I assume it's unique since you posted it that way.

@TwoCables You know I give great advice! I'll try not to do it again though, I understand!

But responding to "Oh. I don't have any mobile devices. I only have my computer that I built, so that's why I was clueless" with, "Have you upgraded that really old GPU yet?" caused me to look at my monitor with total confusion like, "What? Where did THAT come from? Did I miss something? Am I in the right thread? Is he talking to someone else?" I scrolled up and then I was like, "why is he trying to give me advice? Did I miss a private message or something? Hmm."
So yeah, try to avoid being so overzealous. You missed what I was really saying there when I said "Oh. I don't have any mobile devices. I only have my computer that I built, so that's why I was clueless". The problem is, all you really saw was "I only have my computer that I built". If you successfully avoid doing stuff like that, then you'll become even better at helping and giving advice, etc.

Yeah I know what you mean, thanks for explaining though, it does help!
Yeah I won't do that again it would really confuse the shit outta me too!
