Question about Candle and Cave Painting settings.

I used f.lux back, I want to say, around 2015 for about a year and a couple of short revisits since. I came back happy to see it still largely as I remember and going strong, but feel like something I remember is missing but since I cannot find much in the forum, faq, google or elsewhere I've begun to doubt myself enough to just ask:
Was Candle or Cave Painting (or anything else) ever under "effects" and have a light flickering animation in addition to the color temperature setting?
It was actually one of the small relaxing extras I was looking forward to again, which will be worrying if f.lux never had such an animated effect in the entire existence of the project..
Any long time user or team member that can put my weird question to rest? -
@f-lummoxed good memory, there was an easter egg and it needs two things:
- the Preference in the registry* for "candle" has to be turned on
- you have to hit the 'c' key while the f.lux UI is up
It got turned off during one of our "don't do things that the user can't figure out how to undo" cleanups... but the pref is still there.
