F.lux Causing weird Scanlines on my monitor and buzzing noise on my speakers
-
When the color slider is within an estimated range of 3000k and 5200k, one of my two monitors begins to have this issue. I have had this issue for at least a year and have swapped from an AMD gpu to an Nvidia gpu unrelated to this, but still delt with this problem. I feel like this could be a very specific problem to my setup so I'll provide basic monitor specs. I am on Windows 11 and whatever the latest update is last check today. My main monitor that I use which has the issue is the old Odyssey G7 1440p 240hz VA panel, and my second monitor is an AOC 1440p 144hz VA panel. I call the effect scanlines simply because I am not really sure how to describe it, and it looks somewhat similar to that effect. I can't really post a screenshot of the weird effect I see on the screen, because Windows Key + Shift + S doesn't seem show the layer that the visual issue is on. The buzzing was really hard to notice due to how low the noise is that I only recently noticed it, but I assume it is an issue that coincides with the screen effect. Both occur at the same time with the same circumstances, but the range in color for both of them to occur sometimes increases or decreases the range. Examples would be the problem occurs within the range of 5500k and 2800k or occurs within the range of 3200k and 5100k. Maybe it is based of how much power my monitor needs to display what I am looking at. The issue happens on the windows home screen, windows applications, my browser, and I assume my games, but I have F.lux set to off when playing games. Outside of the affected range, F.lux works perfectly normal. If there is anything that I didn't explain well or something that needs clarifying, let me know. Sorry if this was too much and thank you for reading.
