What is the best combination for preserving distinction between colours and reducing blue light (and thus eyestrain)? Is Macular pigment good for this?

Re: Macular Pigment + Reduce Eyestrain = Best Combination?

      Hello!
I am an eager user of f-lux for some time now and I really appreciate that this tool is free and incredibly reliable. I've just joined the f-lux community as I want to make a better use of this tool.

I want to limit blue light and thus reduce eyestrain as much as possible but I need to use highlights when I work. This means I cannot go below 2400K with standard settings because the yellow highlight disappears at that point. I noticed there are some extra colour settings such as macular pigment, which seems to preserve the colours quite well, but I don't know if it's better or worse in terms of the amount of blue light?

      Thank you!
