Windows May 2020 update (2004)
-
Thanks for the note that "internal color table" fixes it.
We try to auto-detect, but the detection is not working very well as of this update.

Hi, I just upgraded to 2004 and seems like the brightness span of f.lux is reduced, I cannot go very dark as I did before. I have an Intel HP laptop with intel graphics and nvidia quadro. f.lux is 4.118.
Any hint is appreciated.
Thank you. -
Hi did f.lux prompt you to expand the color range?
-
@herf yes, but I guess I dismissed the alert, but eventually I expanded manually via the context menu from the f.lux icon (change current color - expand color range). But didn't change anything.
-
@paul741 It does require a reboot - however, if this doesn't help, can you post f.lux options > driver info?
Alternately, in f.lux options > "Always use Windows internal color table"
-
@herf I don't know what happened but know it works (without the windows color table option). Thank you.
-
If you want to install the update now, select Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update , and then select Check for updates.
-
I am still getting the yellow screen when taking screenshots. I am on latest Flux version, and latest Windows 10. Why is this still happening?
-
@Mysticode Can you post f.lux options > driver info?
-
-
Any update on this @herf ?
-
@Mysticode this is saying two of the monitors don't support gamma ramps - how are they connected?
-
DP, via a USB-C hub to my laptop
-
@Mysticode can you post the model number of the hub so we can see which chipset it uses?
We are supporting DisplayLink (by name) for these USB-C hubs, but there are some other vendors we would like to try to improve, but right now I don't think they have support for color controls. If it's DisplayLink we can probably get it to work.
-
@herf In this situation, it is a USB-C docking station by Dell. I can't find a model number, but it's for the Latitude line of laptops.
-
@herf I also have this problem - Dell D6000 dock, notably with DP to HDMI adapters
