help it's not working

I'm not an advanced user like a lot of you guys here but I've been using this on my computers for years now and recently it hasn't been working on my laptop, the slider slides but won't change anything, and the settings are set but nothing happens when the sun sets, my screen is still as bright as ever. I've never had this problem and I don't know how to fix it but it's bugging me. I am running windows 10 on a lenovo flex 14 otherwise i don't know what info to provide, help?
