Why delay?

In Windows 10, Flux never sets the light right after starting/logging in (even though there should be time enough to do so) or even waking from hibernation or saving electricity. You always get exposed to bright blue light, and only a minute or two later flux slowly kicks in dimming.
Needless to say, this is extremely unfortunate and unhelpful. Why is this? What can be done, so flux works right away?

On startup, this is a change to Windows itself - they delay starting all background applications in order to make the system feel more responsive.
We should be quite quick on standby though? Are you seeing something different?

Well, it is quite pointless to use an app that blocks light if you get exposed to a flash and shower of blue light that lasts like half a minute. It is painful.
Can flux somehow be made the first background app to start at least?
There are also other situations when flux stops working for several seconds on Windows 10 without there being a clearly identifiable reason (CPU usage too high? background restart for some reason?). These outages are shorter but also very unhelpful.
I am so sad about this, flux is in principle such a helpful app. Is there anything that can be done about it? Is there any Windows-owned app that can block out light right away?

Does anyone have a solution to this problem? Using Windows 10's Night Light is a workaround. But I would prefer to use flux, because flux is better than Windows 10's Night Light.
