I'd prefer led or even cfl like the ottlite or 5000K cfl with aqua light but preferably 6000-7000K and very bright as well. I've struggled to find anything that anything more decent than Phillips 6500k t2 cfl bulbs.

Smart lights like LIFX A19 or BR30 lights.

@TwoCables Thanks but those are expensive and only 1000 lumens or so. Also most rgb led bulbs don't have much or any aqua light, which is what I appreciate about fluorescent technology / phosphors. I'd like to find an affordable led similar to SORAA or the bios led systems that have lots of aqua but I'm not very convinced that such a product exists yet.

They are plenty bright enough, with a maximum brightness of 1100 lm and you can make them be any color you want. Yes, they are expensive, but in my experience with them they are worth much more than what they cost. You get everything that you want with them, and much more. With the kind of lighting you’re talking about, it’s always the same every single day. It’s just on or off. With good smart lights, you can have anything you want. The only limit is your creativity.

I wonder too how much such lighting like you’re talking about would cost. I would imagine it to be much more expensive than the LIFX lights.

@Tungsten_smooth did you find the bulbs you were looking for? I too am interested in smooth, high aqua lights, but bios has terrible international shipping and SORAA I haven't checked out yet.
