This software wants us to have a healthier day/night cycle. It doesn't work for me.

I am currently staying up way too late rather often. I know it's not good for me and I'd like to fix it. I really hoped this program could help me, but in it's current state it doesn't do that. I don't want to go to bed at sunset, as you suggest, because that would be 4:30 pm. But I also don't want to go to bed at 4:30 am, as I sometimes do. That's a timespan of 12 hours, plenty of room to find a compromise, don't you think?
See, there is always a status quo (which is pretty f**ked up right now for me) and a perfect world scenario (living in perfect sync with your circadian rhythm). And then there are people proclaiming that they want to help us live a healthier live, but they won't be content with a 50% commitment. Only 100% is fine with them. I can't do that. Maybe when I'm 60 or 70 I'll have the freedom not to be bound by work hours and to choose a perfectly healthy sleep cycle. But I'm 26 right now. That's a long timespan. And within that timespan I most certainly won't adopt a perfectly healthy circadian sleep cycle, even if you tell me that it would be better for me. But I'd still like to fix my messed up current state. And you refuse to help me.
All I want is a way to set a fixed time, at which my screen should get dimmed. Is that too much to ask? I know, it doesn't fit together with your research and it's not the perfect solution. But it would bring my health on a scale from shitty to perfect from one end to at least the half way mark or even a bit further. Is it really that hard for researchers to accept people's realities and implement an alternative pragmatic solution?
I'm waiting for your answer ... probably until 4 am tonight ... and tomorrow ... and the day after ...
