Can I just turn off the scheduling?

I'd rather set the brightness of the screen myself. Having it slowly change is kind of annoying. I want to set it in one place and have it stay in one place. I use blackout curtains so it's always hella dark in my office. Having "sunrise" pop up out of nowhere is brutally annoying. There is no sun in my office. Ever. And I want it to stay that way.

All you have to do is go to "Adjust day and night colors together" in the f.lux menu and set all of them to the same color temperature. You can switch f.lux to any mode by faking your Location and your "earliest wake time". It's very easy.
I should say though that it's very unhealthy to not get "alerting" light while you're awake. You should be exposed to bright sunlight for a bare minimum of 10-20 minutes the instant you wake up, but the body needs regular exposure throughout the day. When you've been awake for a long time and bright light begins to seem too bright, start toning it down.

Thanks for the info. In case you're a dev, I just want to mention that the menu icon doesn't seem very intuitively placed. I didn't even notice it. I was under the impression all settings could be had from the system tray.
But hey maybe that's me and my apparent lack of sunlight because of course I spend my whole day in my office.

I'm just another f.lux user and fan, but everything can be accessed from the Notification Area. I'm not sure what you're seeing on your computer.
Regarding not getting light, I recommend taking breaks maybe, or let some light in, or both.
And, it's ok to let your monitor be at 6500K and kind of bright during the first 50-75% of your day. It's good to get alerting light.
