Can't open the F.lux desktop app after update.

F.lux auto updated, I hate the green colours and find my eyes really strain, but I can't actually open the app to make changes.
I search f.lux in the search bar, it comes up in the list as a Desktop app, but when I click on it the cursor does the swirly thing for a second then nothing happens.
Tried restarting my computer to no avail.
Perhaps it's best to uninstall the whole thing then re-download the old version? -
Can you see if there is an icon in the tray next to your system clock?
