F.lux keeps crashing or keeps going in and out

Basically the title, it started happening roughly a few days ago and for some reason f.lux just crashes and then sometimes it comes back on (for the most part it does) but at first it wouldn't come back on and I know f.lux will crash because the brightness of my monitor will change.
No idea what to do about this.

Usually this means some other app is trying to adjust the color settings too. Can you look for any other programs that might be making similar adjustments?
