Manual schedule

Long time user and lurker.. With the release of version 4, I thought surely, you would implement a manual schedule feature.
You know, to be able to say exactly what time you want your screen colour adjusted up and down - not based on what the sun is doing locally.
I recall there was another thread about this, a rather long one where many people voiced the same gripe. I get it, its your app and its free and you can do whatever you like with it. But c'mon... I know its not a technical reason why its being left out, but an idealogical one. Great.
All this does is make me, and many others I suspect, either setup fiddly windows scheduled tasks to kill and run the app on a schedule or not use it at all because its annoying as hell having the colour adjusted when you dont want it.
Are you ever going to do this?

F.lux begins changing to the bedtime mode about 9 hours before the set wake time. So, you can use that to manipulate f.lux. Let's say you want f.lux to start changing the color temperature at 6pm. If you wanted that, then you'd tell f.lux that your wake time is 3am.

haha thanks for the little hack...

You're welcome. I wouldn't call it a hack though. This is just how f.lux v4 is intended to be used.

Didnt really work unfortunately.. set it to 7am so it starts dimming at 10pm, but started much earlier.

That's because it was changing to the color temperature that you have set for sunset. It's not going to override your settings. There are 3 separate color temperature adjustments for the 3 different modes. You have the daytime mode, sunset mode and bedtime mode. Configure the color temperatures to be what you want them to be when f.lux is in whichever mode.

Found it, thanks.
