What's 'Dimming'?

Hi,

F.lux is great, but the documentation on the f.luxometer page leaves a bit to be desired. :)

What does the 'dimming' setting slider actually represent? Is it brightness? As in, if dimming it set to 25%, is that the equivalent of setting monitor brightness to 75%?

@D0gstar No, I think it's that actual monitor, and it's corresponding brightness setting. 25% would be 25% monitor or display brightness.
