NVIDIA unable to change Display Mode from integrated to discrete graphics card when f.lux is running

I am having the same issue as indicated in this post. When I launch a game that would normally prompt a switch in graphics card, a notification pops up saying "Unable to switch display mode." When I click on it, the NVIDIA Control Panel appears with the same pop up displayed in the other post, except mine only lists f.lux. If I exit out of f.lux, it IS able to switch modes. I also seem to be able to switch manually with f.lux still running. Does anyone know why this happens or how I can fix it?

@katjustice28 thank you - can you post f.lux options > driver info so we can understand which devices & versions are involved?
