F.lux permanently changed my monitor default settings

After installing flux, the monitor flickered and after that changed color representation, it seemed brigter and whites were more prominent. I thought it was temporary and uninstalled flux. The settings prevailed. Is it possible that installing altered some default white levels? I am going blind. How can I restore default windows color settings.

@WhiteColorQuestion f.lux does load the system profile to set the "normal" white mode it shows during the day, but it should leave no lasting effect if you uninstall & reboot. Are you aware of any other software that might have reduced the brightness previously?
