Sudden color change with same settings
-
So I've been using F.lux for a long time now and it's been great.
For at least several months I've had the color on 1900K at all times (my monitor is very bright / blue) and I was really enjoying how it made my screen look. Now, since this morning, the color is way different. It's still on 1900k but it's a much deeper, darker orange colour that's just downright unpleasant. I haven't changed any settings in f.lux since yesterday, nor have I changed any drivers or messed with display settings. The only thing I did this morning was change my desktop background, and, though I doubt that could do anything in the first place, changing it back to my old one hasn't fixed it either.
Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this and how to fix it?
Thanks in advance! Any help is much appreciated.

I've started seeing something similar lately. The color warming has sporadically seemed "doubled", or not applied at all, or applied at midday for quite some time after waking from Sleep mode. Last time this weirdness happened, I tried exiting F.lux, but my display stayed warmed for at least several seconds afterward, maybe even half a minute or more.
I suspected this could plausibly have something to do with interference from Windows' similar "Night Light" feature, just as a wild guess, but I checked those settings and confirmed it was not enabled at all. Still, I turned down its Strength setting to 0 and toggled it on and off again, not sure if that did anything but fingers crossed.

Just happened again, but this time quitting and restarting F.lux had no effect nor, weirdly, did turning on Windows Night Light (with or without F.lux enabled). Confirmed I have the latest F.lux release installed (v4.118). Signing into my local Admin account (which also has F.lux running) seemed to allow F.lux to work in my primary user account... for a time. Then it stopped again, and now it's just been randomly turning on and off. The app itself stays running the whole time, just the warming effect keeps cutting in and out.

It looks like Intel is still updating these drivers, so you can get a 2020 version rather than a 2016 one...

Do you have Windows Night Light enabled? We recommend disabling it.
