Will I have to use the Microsoft Store? Or can I just download the executable from this site and use that?

The website is more current right now - we only do beta outside, for instance.

I will update Windows Store soon, once this new Insider build stabilizes.

Thank you. I installed Windows 10 on a spare drive I forgot I had for testing, and I'm happy to report the version right on this website works perfectly. So, I don't need to use the Microsoft Store like I once thought.

I would strongly caution against installing f.lux on Windows 10 at all. There are huge problems, dimming only ever kicks in AFTER log in, which makes it almost useless.

It’s been that way since the very beginning. It’s not specific to Windows 10.

It’s impossible to have f.lux start up before login. This is a limitation that has always existed in Windows, long before Windows 10.
