F.lux affects brightness in games despite being disabled. (Win10)

This was driving me crazy for awhile, thinking something was wrong with Windows 10, as I had recently upgraded from 7. Changing the brightness in-game or even with the Nvidia control panel with F.lux disabled would cause it to revert to the default brightness a second or two afterwards. This was not an issue in Windows 7.
