Why does f.lux starts dimming 16h before sunrise?

It really does not make any sense that f.lux starts dimming the monitor 16 before sunrise, just because at our position on earth the sun went down.

It would make much more sense if we could configure:

Then, f.lux could calculate the time to start dim the monitor:

StartDimTime =
Wakeup-Time
− sleep duration
− the time it takes for the body to switch to sleep mode due to the influence of light

This would make much more sense :-)
