In the settings, how does f.lux use my display data for better color accuracy? (In the options)

Hey, I just want to ask how flux uses my display data because I actually use two different monitors at the same time, and the colors seem to be different most of the time. I assume they can't even be the same due to their nature, but when I switch this aforementioned option on, both my small, laptop display and my 24" monitor become darker. I don't if it's that good, as I usually feel that the effect on the small screen is still weaker than on the big one, so I wonder if f.lux uses each of my display's data separately or just the default one.
