api-ms-win-core-registry- l1-1-0.dll missing error with f.lux v4.29

Every time when logging in to Windows 7 32 bits running on a virtual machine (VirtualBox) with f.lux v4.29 installed, I get the message "api-ms-program can't start-up - win-core-registry- l1-1-0.dll missing" for 3 times, and after that f.lux is functioning normally.
I have searched, but not found a solution to this problem yet. -
Interesting - are you out of disk space or anything like that?
We do seem to have lots of people running XP and older versions of Vista/7, so I assume some of them are 32-bit.
