What's your "I'm moving to a new city and starting over" story? How did it work out for you?

I've lived in the same small city my whole life, went to University here, and am now 24 and feeling like I'm stuck in a bubble and am too comfortable in my safe, familiar environment. Sometimes I think it'd be good for me to just up and go somewhere different, but I want to hear how that's worked out for others, the logistics of how you even went about doing it, and if you found the change you were looking for.
