Check to the left of your system clock for the f.lux settings pulldown menu. It's totally compatible with Yosemite so once you find that icon you should be all set.

It is the equivalent of Windows task manager.

Stop the f.lux process and try uninstalling.

Then restart.
Reinstall f.lux and make sure you move it to the applications folder.

ON MY MAC, VERSION, YOSEMITE. THE SETTINGS MENU DOES NOT APPEAR WHEN I CLICK ON THE ICON. IN FINDER, I'VE TRIED TO DELETE THE PROGRAM BUT IT WILL NOT DELETE IT AS IT SAYS THE PROGRAM IS RUNNING. I CANNOT GET TO THE SETTINGS MENU TO TURN IT OFF. I REALLY WOULD APPRECIATE ASSISTANCE ON THIS ISSUE PLEASE.
