Computer lag during fast transition (20s)
Hi I have an intel core i7-4710mq cpu @2.50GHz with intel hd graphics 4600 and everytime f.lux uses fast transition my system becomes very laggy. Can someone help me?

Intel drivers from a couple years ago had significant performance problems with f.lux. These have mostly been fixed.
Can you try the latest drivers and see if they help?
Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately they didn't help i still lag during fast transition.

What game or program are you playing / using during this time? Also does it happen when the CPU is idle?
Maybe something is running in the background a lot that you may not need or be aware of. If it happens at idle though (you can check the CPU usage in task manager)
then I'm out of ideas-- actually scratch that, have you tried slow transition that lasts 60 minutes?
@timpster Thanks for your reply. I am not running anything. The moment I turn on the computer and f.lux starts up using fast transition, it lags really bad until f.lux stops changing the brightness. During slow transition, it doesn't lag at all. So only fast transition. But I would still like to know why it happens and if there is a fix.

Same issue here with both fast and slow transition. My hardware is Intel GMA 500 Vista Drivers. Is there a way to set blink (momental) transition?
