f.lux works but not affecting screen color

On my other computer (Dell Optiplex 960) f.lux works perfectly. On my new computer (Dell Optiplex 9010 with AMD Radeon HD 7570 card and Samsung Syncmaster 914v VGA interface) f.lux seem to work timing wise, but the screen color never changes, no matter what I try.
How can I troubleshoot this?

From the Dell support forum I'm told that this problem comes from the fact that newer machines don't support DOS VESA video commands. Does this make any sense, is f.lux dependent on DOS VESA?

No this should not matter-- usually it matters more if your video drivers are up to date.
If you are using the newer version of f.lux, check Options and click "Driver Info" and post what it says here for some more help.

I'm using v3 of f.lux, would your suggestion pertain to this version also?
