<![CDATA[v4.42, entering a dimming transition incorrectly brightens the display (at the start of transition)]]>I'm using daytime=5300K, Sunset=3800K, Night=2700k. Transition speed is set to slow.

At the exact time when daytime->sunset begins, the display instantly jumps to a brighter/bluer color. But then, the dimming transition itself is then very gradual. Same behavior for the start of the sunset->night transition.

It does not seem to appear in the 24 hour preview, although it might just be too fast to see.

I think that was the problem.

The only thing that's strange is that my monitor did not "adapt" unless flux had changed the color profile... disabling flux also stopped any kind of adaptation that i could see. Maybe it was excluding whites/grays from adaptation or something.

This can be most easily seen when I enable/disable from inside flux. The dimming transition contains "spikes" as it dims off to 2700K.

Another very weird, possibly related behavior is that the color temperature depends on what's being shown on the screen. Opening an image, switching tabs, or even opening the f.lux UI somehow slightly shift the color tempature "on demand", as a direct reaction. I can't figure out what could be causing this, does anyone know what might be causing that behavior?
