Install f.lux via Xcode?
-
@hansooloo This is a Simulator, and you should select your actual device from the menu instead.
-
@atlauren yes we just notify you and you have to go rebuild.
-
Thanks herf, I installed the beta of Xcode and it was built successfully.
Now however, I can't run the app (untrusted developer).
I don't get prompted to open Settings > General > Profile at all.
"Your device management settings do not allow using apps from… on this iPhone. You can allow using these apps in Settings.“
I can only cancel this notification though.

@chris048 The reason for the “Could not find Developer Disk Image“ is because the Xcode version you are using doesn't contain the information for the platform that's on your target device. I had this issue when I tried to load it to my 6S+ running 9.2 beta 3.

Yes, thank you. I installed the Xcode beta and that worked :)
Now I just can't get the security profile to show up
-
Same issue as @chris048
My developer profile is missing even when the icon is showing up on my phone, so running the app will not work.
Normally, you should be able to go to Settings > General > Profiles and trust the profile, but my profile isn't listed there.Could it be that iOS 9.2 Beta 3 (13C5060d) broke it?
[EDIT] Actually I had Beta 2 when I thought I had Beta 3. So that's likely the issue. As a user below said, update to Beta 3 and try again.

Thank you!!
Updating to the 3rd beta worked. On to the next issue. Only seing a black screen after launching the app now :(
-
@herf thx much. Will try that.
-
ohne thing about the black screen after starting: go to "influx" > "general" > "deployment info" and change the deployment target (maybe to 9.1). worked with my iPhone 5.
-
Product> Clean seemed to solve the black screen issue for most people.
The behaviour on my iPhone 6 is a bit strange still- in the evening when the colour temperature is warm, it will occasionally 'pulse' cold for a couple of seconds. Not seen this behaviour on my iPad 3.

Why not download f.lux installation
-
@lorna Why not download f.lux?
-

Waking up this thread again.. as it is related.
I am able to sideload the f.lux app on el capitan using xcode 7.2 on my iphone 5 running ios 8.4.1. but the third step says "When you first run, you’ll be prompted to open Settings > General > Profile on your device, and trust your developer account" I don't find this setting on my phone. There's no "profile" alternative under General.
Should I care about it? the app still works. Does it affect future pushed out updates or anything? -
@Martin-Karlberg It's called "Device Management" in iOS 9.2. You should see a listing for your personal account after you've tried (and failed) to run the app; you can then hit "Trust" on the screen that comes up when you click your developer ID.
-
I am trying to side load using XCODE 6.4 on Yoesmite but when I get to the 4th step in the instructions from the f.lux website where it says "In the same place, under Identity > Team, select your iCloud account or Developer profile" It will not allow me to choose my iCloud account (I have added it as per the previous step in the directions). In order to side load do I need to have a developer account?
Thank you very much for all and any help!
-
@iasunder It's not necessary to have a developer account to use Apple's "free provisioning". It is necessary to have Xcode 7.
-
Thank you Elhem! I will give that a shot.
