I have a Windows Surface Pro 4 with Windows 10 installed and has all the latest Windows updates. Every once in a while f.lux starts to flicker going from orange to white. Occasionally it stops and is orange and working right, then after a moment it starts to flicker again.

I have not changed any setting within Windows or f.lux and it's only been in the last week that this has been happening. I've ignore it a couple times as I was drawing and just turned it off, but tonight I'm working and it's flickering, making my eyes hurt.

      Anyone have any suggestions?

@pbg146 On windows 10, your task bar, at the bottom: click the notification icon (white box, maybe with a number) and look for a whole bunch of options--if you have a boatload of them, then you have the creators update. If you only have about 9 or so, then you do not have the creators update.

If you have the update, look for something called "blue light" etc. It's a new feature that is like f.lux and maybe it's on by default. Another way to get to this feature (if you have it) is to go into "display settings" and it should be where you change the size of the screen.

If you don't have any of this, then it would help to know what video hardware you have so we can check settings and driver versions. An easy way to do that is to type in

"dxdiag" which is directx diagnostics. On the display tab, it will list your graphics card that is outputting your display. If you have multiple cards, then use the device manager, and the "display adapter" area to find the models of your hardware for video.

@Tungsten_smooth I have a "Night Light" option, but it's turned off.

@pbg146 Take out everything after your "display devices" box, that extra stuff doesn't seem relevant and is taking up a lot of space. Actually, I'm glad you kept it as I see your driver version as well, you can check to see if it's updated on the Intel website.

I see your using Intel 520 graphics, so this is built into the CPU. You'll want to look for updates as stated earlier and you'll also want to look for any installed programs. Right click (long press?) your start menu button and go to control panel > "programs and features" or "uninstall programs" and look around for things that could possibly affect the display.

@Tungsten_smooth I checked for updates of all kinds and everything is currently up to date. I'm going to try uninstalling f.lux and re-installing it to see if that doesn't fix the issue. Unless you have another idea.
