      Hello.
The eula confused me a bit because it states " YOU” (MEANING YOU PERSONALLY AND NOT A COMPANY OR OTHER CORPORATE ENTITY) ARE CONSENTING TO BE BOUND BY AND ARE BECOMING A PARTY TO THIS LICENSE AGREEMENT (“AGREEMENT”). "

While later on the EULA states " only in accordance with the Company documentation that accompanies it. In addition to any compatible personal devices, you may download and install the Software on any compatible work device(s) provided that you (1) obtain all necessary permissions, consents and waivers from your employer to do so, (2) assume all risks and liabilities relating to the Software on such devices, and (3) require your employer to release Company from any and all liability to Company relating to the download, installation, or use of the Software. "

So my question is, can Flux be used in business environment and if so, do we need to purchase a license somewhere?

      Kind regards,

      Max

All you need is the permission from work to install it on the computer. "Provided that you obtain all necessary permissions, consents and waivers from your employer to do so" and 2, "assume all risks and liabilities relating to the software on such devices (work computers)" and 3, " require your employer to release their company from any and all liability to the company relating to the download, installation, or use of the software".

In other words, it's just as simple as asking your boss or the company you work for if it's ok if you install f.lux on one of their computers. There's nothing more to it than that, really. Well, they also have to understand that if anything on the computer gets messed up, then it's their own fault for saying that it's ok. They can't hold Herf and Lorna responsible. F.lux is "install at your own risk" software. It's "as is".

There's nothing complicated here, believe it or not.

If your employer allows you to install a copy of f.lux on your machine, we allow that personal use. It's a license between us and you, and you warrant to us that you have your employer's permission to do so. We offer no guarantees on it. If you want a corporate license, go here https://justgetflux.com/enterprise and fill out the form, we'll be releasing a version in the future.
