I have to close f.lux if I want anything near actual colors and gamma. Is there any way to use the current profile as a baseline? Even the default profile for the screen does not work, let alone the calibrated profile I made with windows. It's a real pain to have to close f.lux whenever I need to do anything important.

https://justgetflux.com/faq.html?q=calibrate+display

The main issue is that these utilities do not save your changes in a way we can read (like a "real" hardware calibrator would).

(Linked in the FAQ...) There is an app called "QuickGamma" that will make a real profile from your manual settings, and this helps most people do what you want to do.
