<![CDATA[Blurred fonts with darkroom mode (OS X 10.12.4, f.lux 39.94)]]>With 10.12.4, every time I switch to darkroom mode, the fonts blur. I use the darkroom mode a lot to read at night, but I can't. I can barely make out letters. The problem does not occur if I use "invert colours" in Accessibility in System preferences on my Mac; it only happens with darkroom mode.

Smaller, but persistent issue : Also, for a few seconds, the display changes colour (from red font to white) with a sudden burst of brightness before reverting.

I have deleted and reinstalled f.lux, but the problem persists.

I am using the latest Macbook Pro with the touchbar. Please advise. I really need darkroom to work.

Thanks for getting back to me. I actually figured it last night after I posted. If I turn off "Use LCD font smoothing when available" in System Preferences-->General, the issue goes away. I just unchecked that setting and rebooted.

I could make guesses but it's hard to guess the right fix.

We used to use a totally different method to implement darkroom, but in 10.12.4 this method started turning the screen black, so this one is actually turning on "invert colors" instead. It looks great on the older Macbooks, but there seems to be a bug in how the wider-gamut machines are treating our transform.

In the pictures above, the clear ones (with white font on black background) are from System Preferences > Accessibility > Invert colors.

But if I use System Preferences > Accessibility > Invert colors with f.lux on, I get the same blurred fonts.

The feature totally stopped working the way we used to do it, so we used another method. We can't make it look quite as good, but it shouldn't be terrible!
