A new Beta version for Windows was released today that allows you to get any color temperature you want at any time of the day.

If you need guidance for how to use it, then you can ask me for help.
There's much more that's new, but I'm trying to only focus here on what you're asking for.

Hi, nightly!
Fortunately, it's very easy. All you have to do is delete one Registry key and you're done:
- Open Registry Editor (alternatively, regedit.exe)
- Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
- In the right-hand pane, delete the sub-key named f.lux and say that you're sure that you want to do that.
- Close Registry Editor
If you wish to back this key up first just in case, then right-click the key named "Run" in the left-hand pane and choose "Export". What you are doing here is making a file with the .reg extension just for this Run key. You can name it anything you want and you can put it anywhere you want.
To use this exported .reg file if you ever wish to have f.lux start with Windows again, then just open it like you would any other program and say 'Yes' to the prompt that asks you if you're sure. Of course, you can also just use the 'Import' function in Registry Editor to accomplish the exact same task.
Alternatively, you can simply add the correct f.lux sub-key manually! Check this out:
- Inside that Run key that you navigated to in step 2 above, right-click in the right-hand pane and choose New > String Value and immediately type f.lux and then press Enter 2 times.
- Paste this into the box that just came up when you pressed Enter that 2nd time: C:\Users\YOUR_USER_NAME_HERE\AppData\Local\FluxSoftware\Flux\flux.exe" /noshow (be sure to replace "YOUR_USER_NAME_HERE" with your Windows user name)
- Press Enter.
- Close Registry Editor
So yeah, now you can refer to this post anytime you need to know everything that you'll need to know as it relates to controlling whether f.lux starts with Windows. Of course, you could just reinstall f.lux to get it to start with Windows again, but this is more fun. lol

In most recent Windows OSes, you can use Task Manager to toggle it off and on, so we don't do any UI of our own for it.

You can use Task Manager to turn the Magnifier on and off?

Task Manager has a Startup tab in Windows 8 and later.
