NVIDIA GeForce 820M driver 21.21.13.7654 and f.lux -> BSoD
-
With the latest update pushed by MS for Windows 10 "NVIDIA - Display - 21/29/2016 12:00:00 AM - 21.21.13.7654" on a GeForce 820M it seems that f.lux could cause a BSoD (err 43).
Can anyone confirm that being the case?
Can a fix be expected? -
We cannot fix NVIDIA drivers, but I would expect that they will fix it pretty fast if it makes a bluescreen.
-
No but I wondered if anybody else had seen the problem.
On the NVIDIA forum there are suggestions, that the sole removal of f.lux will remedy the problem. -
That's a Windows 10 special driver. You want to avoid this driver and go with one of these:

I am partial to 376.33 myself. The one you have is 376.54 and you're not the first person I've seen having nothing but problems with it.

@TwoCables Thanks. I'm back to 353.62 (10.18.13.5362) (being the latest previously installed).
Might try the newer one. The 376.54 is not on the list for 820M. The latest is 378.66 February 14, 2017. -
That's because 376.54 is exclusive to Windows 10. It's a Microsoft NVIDIA driver and I think it should be avoided. 376.54 can't be downloaded from NVIDIA.
