Windows 10 Adding Blue Light Reduction Option

  • News about it can be found here: http://www.pcmag.com/news/347526/report-windows-10-adding-blue-light-reduction-option

I wonder, which was is more effective? A software or a featur of operating system? Or is it more useful to use glasses with orange filter?

  • It does depend on how the design of the OS implementation works. If Microsoft designs it in such a way as to not interfere with nVidia's settings (or even if nVidia makes their settings compatible with the feature in a future driver), then the deal is pretty much sealed for me - I'd use the one they are building for Windows, because current screenshots indicate that you can set a custom schedule - which, quite frankly, is all I ever wanted from f.lux.

  • Custom schedule is quite a cool feature but I'm more interesting about the health side of this feature. Does it have a healthier effect to eyes than f.lux etc.
