f.lux not working on samsung tab S2 T713 with 6.0.1

(I edited the title and content re SElinux)

I have a rooted Samsung tab s2 T713 and f.lux:

• does not register the location, though it does log a request
• does nothing when darkroom is toggled

anyone have it working?

if not, any ideas?

edit: problem fixed by flashing permissive kernel. probably not a good long term solution
