Minor update: 3.12
-
Small update posted as the main download.
This build fixes a number of minor issues with Windows 10 Anniversary Edition:
- DisplayLink USB monitors no longer cause flashing on the main display
- Our “NSIS” installer software has been updated due to a security vulnerability
- Code signing now uses SHA256 to increase security
-
When i saw Update first than minor, i had goosebumps :)
-
v4 is so cool. I am going to get it in beta really soon.
I had to go back a ways to fix the DisplayLink bug, but thought it should be the main build because it is affecting a lot of people.
-
Thanks @herf! Looking forward to the beta phase.

Minor update 3.12 on Intel 4600 creates an extra process that keeps restarting and increases the cpu load to 40%
Win 7 x64.
Went back to 3.10 - runs smooth.

I have a test machine with HD4600 and win7/64, and I don't know why you would be seeing any new process. What is the new process called?
There is very little changed in this new build.
-
@herf It's the same name. I attached the screenshot of task manager - the 2 processes keep flipping back and forth
Logged in as local administrator and took a screenshot of task manager - symantec management agent doesn't like it...
-
@evox2008 It's very strange that one has no description.
We do not run another copy of the process - there should only be one, so this is pretty confusing. What exactly does the Symantec software do?
-
@herf Oh, it's our way to manage the inventory (software installations/patches; also, hardware inventory).
It's here: https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.HOWTO62779.html

@herf I was wondering if you added support for the new Philips Hue linking update released back in june? I haven't been to be able to link to my Philips Hue Hub so far. And how does one get access to beta builds of F.lux? Thanks!
-
@Nostromo sorry - this branch is 3 years old, so I tried not to mess with it, but Hue is definitely broken with the new pairing protocol. There will be a new "v4" beta soon.

@herf When is v4 beta coming and is there a tentative changelog for it yet?
