Windows won't run flux.exe

  • Hello, I'd like some help if possible with a (quite) baffling situation I've found myself in.
    Just reinstalled flux today and when I click on the start menu flux entry, or double click
    flux.exe (found in C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\FluxSoftware\Flux\flux.exe), I get a
    windows error telling me
    "Windows cannot find 'C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\FluxSoftware\Flux\flux.exe' etc..."

    Tried running flux.exe under privileges and compatibility mode (xp, SP3).
    Even uninstalled my antivirus but to no avail. Forgot to say i'm running Win7.
    Is there anyway to change the install directory, or any other workaround?

  • Have you tried reinstalling (or uninstalling and reinstalling)? This fixes most problems like this.

  • Yes, sorry for not mentioning it in my first post.. I've tried uninstalling as well as cleaning up any leftover registry keys using CCleaner. Could it be that a bad .reg entry avoided deletion and is causing the error?
