F.lux not working on Ubuntu 16.06 with GTX 1070 using Nvidia 367

Hi,
F.lux does not change the screen color on my machine. Even when I try the preview mode in the settings nothing changes :/
I have Ubuntu 16.06 running with a GTX 1070.
Driver version is nvdia-367.57Any way to get it running? Anything else works fine with my GPU

@derEitel You can run the windows version in Wine. but DO NOT expand the color range. When I try that option, it makes the colors overly orange and it's inaccurate. You can go down to 2700K still i think.

Same for me with 16.04 on Lenovo x201... Has been working before but now nothing changes, even though the app is runnig and preferences-window can be opened and modified...

The same here.
Until last week everything was fine on my GTX970.
But it seems, the Nvidia driver updated itself without asking me and now f.lux is not working anymore.
I found another thread from 9 months ago where the problem occurred first becaus of a 10 to 11 bit color change in the driver.
It seems, f.lux developer could not fix it.So the only way for me is to use an old driver.
But i dont know, how to downgrade the nvidia driver?
Can anyone help me?
I just installed it via "settings, devices, additional drivers" 1 click and it was working.
But i dont see any possibility to chose the driver version or to stop automatic updates there. -
@derEitel Did you install the Nvidia drivers? I know it may seem obvious but I don't want to rule out anything. I find it odd the the windows version of f.lux doesn't work for you in wine, I believe you, but it's just a bummer as this is how I used it in the past, with great results.

@derEitel No, not at all. Keep the drivers in the Linux system, don't use windows drivers. I mean go to the f.lux website and download the windows version. Run the Setup.exe in wine, and use the windows version. I'm confident this will work. If not, let me know.

@Tungsten_smooth this is exactly what I did when you suggested it first. Nonetheless it still does not change any colors :/

@derEitel Awe man! Well that's no fun. I guess that driver version has a lot to do with it. I'm not knowledgeable on the Linux Nvidia driver versions to help.

For some Nvidia users downgrading the driver to version 361.42 solved the problem.
Xflux needs to be adjusted to the 11th bit.
