F.lux via sideload still working on iOS 10 - sort of...
-
On iOS 10, F.lux still seems to work ok - the only problem seems to be that it won't automatically work in the morning (screen will still be with night time lighting), but simply opening the app seems to make it work.
Happening to anyone else?
-
Was just about to post the same: that it still works fine on iOS 10. Setting the wake-up time to 'dawn' seems to get everything working as it should.
-
@charlcater I have the wake up time set to dawn but it still won't auto-trigger in the morning.
Wondering if this is because I have Do Not Disturb turned on?
-
Yeah, that could be. My Do Not Disturb switches off a while before sunrise, so perhaps that's why there's no clash this side.
-
And how exactly do you sideload it now? Using xcode with the source from Github?
-
@lavrr that should work. Make sure you have the latest xcode updates installed too, to ensure compatiblity with ios 10.1.1
-
@charlcater, ok I'll try, again. The last time it didn't work, so I loaded the IPA by Cydia impactor, though it worked only one week 😌
-
@charlcater yep, no results — flux.app does not contain a valid Info.plist , so it cannot be installed
-
Ah, sorry to hear. I think I remember getting around this somehow - it might have been updating Xcode or something. Will check when i'm back at my computer after christmas
