I've been using f.lux for a long time and sometimes when i come across certain websites, backgrounds, etc.. i notice the screen changing color for a few seconds or if i scroll down or up, it depends.

I just came across the .gif where i experience what i just said and i would like to know if you guys also notice something.

For a few seconds it goes with normal color but then it goes more yellow'ish.

Another example. Check this image: alt text

Scroll down and up and you will see what i'm talking about.

The backgrounds are quite similar when this behavior is reproduced

You're experiencing 'Gamma Shift". It's normal with monitors and laptop displays that use the TN panel technology. If you stand up or sit down (or sit higher or sit lower), you will see the exact same effect.

F.lux makes it more obvious because of the color. It has nothing to do with f.lux or any other software-related thing. It's purely due to the physical design of the TN panel.

My monitor is IPS, not TN.

I have a TN panel, and even with f.lux set to 2300K, or 1900K or even 1200K, I'm not seeing it. I mean sure, I see the gamma shift, but I'm not really seeing anything all that bad.

My monitor is the AOC G2460PG. I have a GTX 780. I don't know if these parts make any difference.
