24 hour setting for extra lighting options? (Candle, ember etc)
-
I have been finding it a hassle to continually change my location in order to maintain Candle mode during both day and night. I was wondering if there was some way to make this setting permanent or otherwise was wondering if such a thing would be eventually implemented?
Thanks, the program is great. - Anon

Yeah you can make a change in the Registry. Would you be up for that?

I would love to do the same thing. It would be a great help if you could tell me where to go in the registry to do it.

Absolutely. Some people are afraid of going into the Registry, so I had to be sure. :)HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Michael Herf\flux\Preferences
In the right-hand pane, double-click one of these two subkeys:
'Indoor'
'Outdoor'You'll be changing both of these. After you double-click one of these, switch to "Decimal" and then change the value in the text field to be any color temperature that you want (leave out the "K", so numbers only). Do the same thing for the other subkey and then you will need to completely exit f.lux and then re-launch it. I mean, right-click its Notification Area icon, choose 'Exit f.lux' and then open it back up.
After you open it, don't touch the sliders or else you will stop the process of warming up to your color temperature and then you'll have to change the Registry again and restart f.lux yet again. It takes several seconds to warm up, but it's the only way to do it. There's no way to rush it that I know of.
