testing will reset to 2700K
-
After having installed the extended color range, I'm able to set a temperature value below 2700K in the night time settings, and the current value then actually is being indicated as the 'at night' value in the f.lux window, but when I click the button to test it on my screen, the value immediately jumps back to the original 2700K.
Running f.lux in administrator mode doesn't change that behavior. -
The button to test it? What button? Are you talking about the round gripper ball thing for adjusting the color temperature? If so, then that's not for testing. It's not even a button. It's for adjusting the color temperature, and the lowest end of the range is 2700K. So, clicking that gripper thing without clicking and dragging will change the color to 2700K because that's as low as it goes. Only the "Lighting at night" menu can make the color temperature be lower than 2700K.

@TwoCables quite so, yes; thank you, clear enough; so the lighting at night setting as indicated will remain in effect, as long as I won't touch the adjustment slider...alright.

You're welcome. You are understanding perfectly.

@jonob Hmm, could you verify this by looking at the number is shows when you click the 24-hour preview graph? It seems like your pulling at the slider to change the night time setting, if you do so, it will snap to 2700K because that's as far as the slider is designed to go. The f.lux team is working on a new interface for windows, similar to the Mac version that is currently available.Already solved.
