I got a new laptop, a Toshiba running Win 10. I downloaded f.lux and it hardly makes a difference to the brightness. No mellow tones! It worked perfectly on Win 7. What can I do? I can't bear the white light. I normally use f.lux day and nite because of extreme light sensitivity. I set the location to somewhere in the world where it is dark. Are there any solutions to overcoming the intense blinding light of Windows 10? I set the display to 0 but the mellow light of f.lux does not come through it. I am ready to quit Windows 10.

This is all dependent on the video driver. Some Windows 10 machines have trouble finding the right one.

I have reduced the f.lux setting to incandescent and it feels better. Thanks for the suggestions. The driver was ok.

We'll it's actually a big work around to find the problem of bsod... U can do a clean boot.. And stop Flux from starting at boot and then see if the Flux is causing.. It which I doubt... U can search Google for a clean boot and check if that's what's doing it... Or even safe mode would work better... If Flux is doing it... U should check ur video driver too... If it's updated or not.. If nothing helps... Make a backup and refresh ur pc 1st..if that doesn't help.. Then reset... It!
                  Hope it helps! :D
