Fire Phone and Fire OS 4.6.6; doesn't work

Gave it a try on a rooted Amazon Fire phone running latest 4.6.6 Fire OS. Doesn't work. Blanks the screen after you grant root to it for long enough to make you worry, then the screen comes back as normal and changing the options have no effect.

Edit: Wasn't expecting it to work, but had to try. :-)
