"We have a version internally (it looks beautiful!) but it requires a very complicated installation process. We are working to simplify this and ship f.lux to the Android OS as soon as possible."

Would it be possible for me to get the version of android you have internally?

I don't mind a little bit of a challenge installing it.

It sounds to me like they're saying that they have a version of f.lux internally.

I want it too. I'm happy to go through a very complicated install. I would happily dedicate a whole day to getting f.lux on my android phone.

Thanks for the support - we will be needing a lot of help from the Android community (especially with testing) when the time comes.

A version for Android would be really great! In the moment I'm using the app Twilight with a similiar feature, but f.lux is definitely better.

@DFelten DO NOT use the default 1500 "K" on that program, it's red but it's a filter -- it mixes with white, and it's pink. Pink contains both blue and red.

If you want to use it, I strongly recommend in the 2600 / 2800K range.

@timpster Thanks :) With the other range Twilight looks better.

Twilight is less effective than dimming the display. Please see this post by @lorna of the @f.lux team:

"Based on the numbers from a spectrometer, I'd recommend you uninstall the twilight app and dim your phone when you need it dimmed. Twilight does turn things pink but it isn't nearly as effective at removing alerting wavelengths as dimming (or for that matter, f.lux) is. Hope we have more news in that space soon."

Like many of the posters above, please count me in if you need beta testers. The twilight app and all f.lux imitations I have tried on google play are terrible.

I use f.lux and love it; I registered just to express support for an android version. I'd be extremely interested in beta testing too.

                                        Hello folks,
Please count me in for a beta testing too. The only reason I have been using an iPhone while jailbroken is f.lux. Now I recently ordered a Nexus 6p simply because tired of iOS.
So, if you need someone with nexus phone, you can count on me! I really want to help!
