Single Monitor Restriction for a Dual Monitor Setup

Would love this feature!
I am currently running 4 screens, 2 at the bottom and 2 on top. The screens on top get somewhat unreadable when flux turns on(due to the viewing angle).Just being able to turn certain screens on/off would be amazing!
-
I would also like to have flux on 2 monitors with two different settings. I have a new monitor which is very bright and an old one which has an unusual warm colour. If I have a good setting on my main monitor the old one looks very orange.

I also signed up to say how excellent this would be. Have a central PC feeding a family room TV and a bedroom monitor. My wife and are often on different sleep cycles due to work, it'd be wonderful for the bedroom monitor to be the only one affected by f.lux.
-
I'd love separate settings for each monitor too, I use my primary monitor for Facebook/Reddit etc so I really appreciate the dim tone, however I use my second monitor for YouTube and Netflix and really messes with the colours. Would love to set F.lux to only activate on my primary monitor until told otherwise, or at all.

I would really like it to be per screen. I've scoured the net looking for an app that will dim one or the other but not both.
I have a laptop hooked up to the TV via hdmi, so we turn all the lights off, settle down to watch a film on the TV but the laptop screen is sat there glaring away on the side.
We use flux on the wifes system which is a standalone and its a great util but can't use it on mine or the film we're watching goes dark, yes we can turn it off but then the laptop is bright.
To be able to dim the laptop but not the TV would be awesome & yes we use the laptop to play stuff just about every night
Many thanks in advance
You can set the laptop to "Do Nothing" when you close the lid on both battery power and A/C. You can have 3+ power profiles on Windows 7 as well, to swap to what you want. So you can then have the screen off, not wasting power.

I think it'd be really helpful to disable flux on 1 monitor (and even better if you could disable it on specific monitors based on what apps are running). I tend to just close f.lux when I'm running photoshop/playing games and forget to turn it back on...

I'm new to F.lux and loving it! However, USB support for dual/triple monitors would be so greatly appreciated! Please pass on these multiple requests for it.
-
I'd love the "per monitor" option as well. My Cintiq is set up as a second monitor and it "blinks" or "flashes" every 5-10 seconds as f.lux works it's magic. I disable it whenever I'm in Photoshop but it'd be nice to still have f.lux running on my other monitor all the time rather than blasting my with blue/white light while I paint ;) Having said that, thanks for such an awesome product!

BUMP. Would love to have this feature as well. My laptop monitor is for work and web, but the external monitor is 95% displaying video or working on photoshop. I have absolutely no need for f.lux on the external monitor.
-
The support over USB would help a lot of people out. I currently use an all-in-one which has no standard video outputs. This forces me to use a USB adapter and since I use this rig for some gaming but mostly intensive reading/college work I need my second screen to not burn my retinas as I try to read pages on pages of text. Thank you for all your support f.lux team!!!

Registered just to give weight to this. I would like f.lux to be able to differentiate the dimness between monitors. I'm using 1-4 screens depending on what I'm doing. One of them is a TV and the rest three are monitors of various ages and dimnesses. The most useful feature for me would be the ability to dim all but the TV but I'd have use for individual settings to balance the colors of my monitors as well. Other than that, I love f.lux.

This simply has to happen. Many of us have dual purpose setups. I have a screen strictly for sports viewing that looks disgusting/dull with flux enabled. But of course if I disable flux then my other IPS panel burns my eyes to a crisp. I think the needs are obvious here so hopefully this is something easily implemented. Otherwise love the app thank you for saving my eyes!

I'd also like to see this as a feature in a future update. The TV I use with my laptop looks horrible with flux enabled with any settings, and I'd rather be blinded by the (usually lack of) white on the TV while keeping the flux correction on the main laptop screen..

Flux has improved my life a lot. It is truly a great software. At home it works great, because I have dual identical monitor. However, at work it causes me problems. My laptop looks great at 2800k, while my actual monitor looks great at 3200k. I truly hope there is a way for me to set my laptop display at 2800k, while leaving my hdmi monitor at 3200k.

Personally I would prefercompletely independent settings for each monitor, there are several reasons for that:
- my main monitor is color-calibrated and at least some applications I work with have a dark color theme so leaving it unaffected by f.lux during the day is useful
- when watching movies at night on the same monitor movie mode would be useful
- movie mode on the other monitors otoh is too bright, distracting from the movie, I would prefer if I could switch the secondary ones to darkroom mode
- one of my monitors is fairly old and somewhat faded, it responds differently to dimming or lowering the color temperature in ways that cannot easily be compensated with monitor settings. independent settings would make it possible to match the other monitors better in overall perceived brightness.
-
Also registered to say that a per monitor flux restriction would be very helpful. I use one monitor for gaming/tv/movies and one for general purpose uses. I would love to have one monitor on and one off.
-
Just googled how to do it with f.lux only to land here.
Like most of the above, I have webpage/word document/work on one screen that is usually blindly bright while I watch a movie or play a game on another, and it gets a bit annoying to have to choose between f.lux and colours looking right in a movie/game.Would love to see this feature added.
I believe a per app feature would be hard to do, over just disabling f.lux from controlling selected monitors.
-
I came here to upvote the rest. A per app and/or per screen feature would be awesome. And it has been a year or two now that I am looking for this!
-
Agreed, this should be on the dev list!

just registered to vote this up, i have to monitors, one new one that is already has a built setting that is easy on eyes, but my older monitor doesnt, which I would love to use f.lux with, I have already been using this with my laptop and it helps so much. I really hope you consider adding this feature to disable a second screen.
